Precast Concrete heel stone kerb come in 1.5m lengths and are 216mm high. The kerb is designed for fast installation using two hold-down bolts. With a perpendicular inside surface helping to reduce sand loss into passageways. Smooth inner surfaces at cow contact points improves cow comfort as they ensure that no sharp edges. Hard, sharp surfaces will harm the cow over prolonged periods.

Why choose the heel stone over a poured or block kerb?
The heel stone and been designed specifically to increase the level of sand kept in the bed. The slope on the heel stone toward the bed encourages sand to fall back into the bed instead of into the passage. The Precast heel stone is easily installed by bolting to the shed floor.
